He reminds me of Sting with his eclectic range of instruments and style. Why, in your opinion, is he just noted for '........Science' when he's got so many other, and better, songs??

Here's what else he had to say, As a young boy i stumbled across a midi version of She Blinded Me With Science, and i found it really, really fascinating. I filed it away, and didn't think of it for some time after exhausting it to death. Later on, i downloaded a copy of the _real_ song, and i was instantly taken by it. I looked into what other work he had done, and found that there was more to him than the synth-pop that gained him most popularity. I own copies of GAOW, Flat Earth, Blinded by Science mini-lp, The Devil Is An Englishman, and the ever-entertaining Airheads Revenge, all on vinyl. i also have GAOW, Retrospectacle, Hyperactive!, and Aliens Ate My Buick on CD. Listening to all his music, i developed a true passion for many of his songs (and learnt all the lyrics along the way). His music has touched me, entertained me, and much more. It has inspired me.

magazine with a interview of Dolby, for those of you who recall the PBS show it was like the nerdy kids version of Zoom, but more corny, and their magazine was published by world.. But the magazine actually talked about Thomas' background with synths, and had a pretty interesting picture of him.. I also had tracked him through Keyboard magazine, Music Video channels like MTV, NightFlight (wish archives of NightFlight came on DVD I'd pay for subscriptions, I talked to Stuart Shapiro who had produced the show and he said there is no chance of that.. ).. Anyhow, I think the best time was on the bloopers practical jokes show, I think I saw the show, where howard jones, Thomas dolby, Herbie Hancock and Stevie were checking out a music store (??). Anyhow, I had figured they were friends, but I was too young to tell.. However I loved all of their music, and still do. I had also seen interviews on Ray Kuzweil on PBS (McNeil Leherer hour?) where they had also interviewed Stevie Wonder who played his synths and used his reading machine. And I figure Thomas along with some other bands like Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel were apart of a Fairlight Users Group, if they had such a thing back then.. I know that Thompson Twins also used the Fairlight.. It seems to be the only way pre-85 to turn out digitally recorded albums.. Did people actually produce waveforms for synthesis with the light pen? That would seem to be very subjective.. I know Thomas Dolby had worked on the development of a synthesizer, I guess it was in college? Anyone have information on this?
